Closing

So it has come. We made it to the end. In the past weeks, I had plenty of conversations and there was a lot of resemblance. It seems that collectively we had a dynamic and chaotic year. Mine feels like it has been 5 years in one. So many things have happened in different realms I stopped counting. I wrote Closing with this in mind. May the next year bring joy and love to all. Happy New Year!

There’s a stir in the air 

Where does it take us?

We’ve been saying this

Life was very unfair 

The old oak forgotten

By new wave conditions 

Our hours are counting 

To keep going beyond

This ring is thicker Than 

the previous ones drawn

Experiences embedded

Like cold to snow 

I ask if I should keep this

Movie running or switch

To a new tape that’s blank

To have a different pitch

Father, brother, lover 

They live in me freely 

And keep telling that it’s 

Time to take responsibility 

I can’t put this year in summary

There was so many outbursts 

Like stars on the sky 

But we are still here to try

Roaming on this ending

Writing our life story 

That I know how to do 

I have a new pen tomorrow

Building a haven of my own

Where the locks of control

Stay far from shore 

We were here to do it all

We are here to love someone

There’s no time to rest 

And finish the show 

That comes later so go

Less asking why and 

More present moments 

I wish for you all to hold

Dear times close to core 

Closing in on a moderate 

Note this dynamic year 

I believe we’ve all learnt

To lean more into fear
